OHENEBA AKWASI OPPONG MINTAH

Director
Introducing Oheneba Akwasi Oppong Mintah known in life as Akwasi Oppong Mintah, Kyidomhene of Breman stool, Breman Kumasi is a seasoned executive with over 13 years of hands-on expertise in retail and international banking, culminating in a senior managerial role. Drawing from his extensive experience in global trade, structured finance, and payments, Akwasi embarked on an entrepreneurial odyssey in 2015, co-founding Data Mavens, a tool agnostic IT company. Now, Akwasi directed his wealth of knowledge and skillset towards the maritime industry, serving as a passionate promoter for a burgeoning greenfield shipping company. With a solid foundation in optimizing business processes, nurturing teams, crafting strategic blueprints, adept management, and savvy negotiation, he is poised to chart the company's course towards unprecedented success. Akwasi holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast. Leveraging his extensive network both locally and internationally, coupled with his meticulous attention to detail, Akwasi will emerge as a pivotal force to drive the new shipping company towards a prominent position in the industry.

BABACAR A.BARRY

Director
Babacar's areas of practice are corporate and commercial law, civil litigation, labour law, non-profits, and land law. Called to the Ghana Bar in 2003, Babacar has practiced both in the public and private sector having advised public institutions, private entities, and private clients in his areas of practice. He is also a Notary Public. A graduate of De Montfort University, Leicester, England in 1995 where he received a BA(Hons) Combined Studies – Law and Marketing, he has worked with public international institutions including ECOWAS as providing legal services for private sector multi-national and local companies and non-profit organisations. He speaks and writes both English and French and is a translator of legal documents. He is a member of the Ghana Bar Association, and Associate Member of the American Bar Association, and an Associate Member of the Marketing research Society of the UK and serves on board of commercial companies, educational institutions, and non-profit entities.

Principal Advisors

Dr. Kofi Mbiah, a renowned Ghanaian maritime law and international trade consultant, has extensive experience in maritime administration, legal practice, and academia. He holds a PhD in Maritime Administration from the World Maritime University, an MBA from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration, an LL.M in Maritime Law from the IMO International Maritime Law Institute in Malta, a Masters in Marine Management from Dalhousie University in Canada, and a Bachelor of Laws and Barrister at Law from the University of Ghana and the Ghana School of Law. Dr. Mbiah served as CEO of the Ghana Shippers' Authority from 1998 to 2017, leading the institution's administration, establishing key maritime law seminars, and overseeing significant infrastructure projects. He has also been a legal practitioner and consultant with Shipman Consult & Alliance Partners since 2012, providing advisory services on maritime law and shipping practices. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and a member of several professional associations. His publications and consultancies on maritime legislation, safety, and environmental issues have significantly impacted the maritime sector in Ghana and internationally.

Naval Capt. Osei (RTD) was the past CEO of Emetron Technologies Ltd, the first Local manufacturer and distributer / installation of large size fibreglass satellite dishes and video decoders. He had over 30 years of experience in the military service as Electrical and Electronic Engineer and associated with many technical activities both in the military and outside the military during his service career. He graduated from Britannia Royal Naval College Dartmouth, UK in naval seamanship training, Naval College of Engineering India in Marine Engineering and postgraduate Electrical Specialist Certificate at Electrical Specialization College, also in India. He further attended Naval Staff Course at Naval War College, New Port Rhode Island in Operations, Safety, Security Disaster control and Management. His specialization is in areas of Control System covering system dynamic tracking, designation and engagement using radars, optronics and laser range finders, telecommunication and Ships systems in operation. He has attended many other specialization and application courses overseas across Europe, Asia, and USA in ships safety dynamics, rescue of ships in danger, SOS alerts at sea, power control and automation systems, telecommunication system, micro-electronic devices and Telematics (ICT). He has held many appointments and positions and has actively been engaged in many engineering programs. These include project development and implementation of ship retrofit programs in UK for the Navy, Ocean going fishing vessels in Bremerhaven Germany, ships construction in Bremen Germany and ships repair in France.

He was responsible for the major repair works and installation projects of Navy ship borne equipment locally. These include ship Radars, Propulsion systems, Navigation systems, Communication systems, and lately local rehabilitation program of about 30 armoured vehicles and military equipment for UN and ECOWAS peace keeping operations in Liberia, Sierra Leone and CONGO, thereby saving the country huge cost of funds. During his last appointment prior to retirement as the Director Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Ministry of Defense and past board member of ECG, he provided 2 years (1998-2000) local (Installation and O&M) staff assistance to Cummins Power generation (UK) for the supply of 35MW emergency power to Ghana, a key member of the technical team for the local redesign, conversion and construction of the 2 Presidential Ceremonial Parade cars in Ghana. He was also part of the team for the emergency design and construction of 12 Ambulances and Hearse out of used vehicles to support ambulance requirement during the infamous Accra stadium disaster. He was also involved in the curriculum development for the accreditation and running of MSC Program in Nuclear and Industrial Instrumentation at Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, Kwabenya, Accra. He was the M&E consultant for the construction of 86 guest rooms Ridge Royal Hotel at Cape coast in the central Ghana. Capt. Osei is currently working with a team to improve safety of travelling in our coastal seas, lagoons, lakes and our inland waters using locally constructed fiber glass canoes and small boats with locally designed monitoring systems to help avert occurrence of dangers in our waters. He is also working alongside PHD. Lecturer for the development of safety Dashboard to improve safety of the nation's motorways and the maritime domain within the Gulf of Guinea sea lanes. He is married with 3 children.

Daniel Benjamin Aryee is a seasoned executive in transportation and cargo handling, with over three decades of experience. He is known for his expertise in maritime trade, shipping agency management, and business development. His academic achievements include a Chartered Transporter (MCILT) status from the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, a Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the University of Ghana Business School, and a Master of Science in Shipping Management from the World Maritime University in Sweden. He holds a Professional Membership from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Statistics from the University of Ghana. His professional experience includes shipping agency management, business development, customer and account management, and processing shipping documentation. He has a proven record of success in the ship agency business and has specialized knowledge in documentation and shipment processes. His professional background includes serving as the Commercial Manager at Grimaldi Ghana Ltd. since 2002, and as a Shipping/Documentation Officer at Cocoa Marketing Company Ghana Ltd. from 1992 to 2000. Daniel Benjamin Aryee has also served as a part-time lecturer in Transport Management at Accra Polytechnic, Shipping Management at the Institute of Export & Shipping, and Logistics Management at the Regional Maritime University. His ability to solve complex operational problems and implement effective business strategies has consistently driven success throughout his career.

Foster Asempa - Antwi is a smart self-motivated person who has twenty-Seven (27) years working experience in supply chain management, shipping, stevedoring, shore handling, transport management, logistics, training and Oil and Gas. He is presently the Managing Director / CEO of Fadee Services Limited, Head of Logistics for Realhaul Ltd, a Founding Partner of Grand Casita & More Ltd, Consultant for Reliance Stevedoring Ltd. Between August 2022 to January 2023, he was the Global Manger for Ship Operations for Safebond Consortium in Sao Tome & Principe where the company was managing the port under a 35 years contract. He is credited for leading a team to designed the entire supply chain for the first ever LNG delivery in Ghana when he was the Head of Supply Chain and Operations for Continental Fuels Ltd. He has been a consultant for most supply chain and logistics companies for the past Eight years on profit maximization, process improvement, transport safety and operational efficiency in general. Foster was once the Head of Business Unit (Managed Transport services) for DHL supply Chain Ghana Ltd. He is also credited with the set-up of Safebond Africa Liberia Ltd operations and running the contract successfully for five years in the Free Port of Monrovia - Liberia. He was part of the team who marketed Carl Tiedemann Stevedoring Ghana to the then existing shipping lines and worked seventy-five percent of vessels that called in Tema Port between February to April 2004 as a result of good planning and people management. Maersk Logistics was the springboard for my carrier development into logistics and supply chain. With just a supervisor, he was able to manage the Export department at that infantile period of his carrier. He has an MBA in Supply Chain Management from GIMPA, a degree in Bachelor of Educational Psychology from the University of Cape Coast. He has attended various courses on Training on Coaching, Leadership Training, Managing Safety (IOSH) and Participatory Learning and Appraisal (PLA). In addition to the above, he had attended seminars within and outside Ghana on Regional Brainstorming on effective transport utilization, Road Show Transport Safety in Ghana, Reducing MHE downtime (Mac 5 Linde Reachstacker), Best Safety Practices in Port Environment, Effective and Efficient Port Operations - Cargo Handling, Maritime Law and International Trade Conference among others. His Love for Humanitarian and community services pushed him to Join the Lions Club in the Late 90's. He later become Charter President of Tema Greenwich Lions Clubs. He plays Badminton religiously and an ardent supporter of Manchester United football club.
